OUR MISSION

The LANGBERG FOUNDATION was created to focus resources, both human and financial, on critical opportunities for educational innovation and change. Summoning all the experience and successful prototypes of Arnold Langberg and his network of alternative educators, the LANGBERG FOUNDATION was formed:

1. To encourage and support the development of innovative educational programs and schools;
2. To encourage and support the professional development of teachers and principals for these programs and schools; and
3. To provide financial support for students who might not otherwise be able to participate in such programs and schools.

The Langberg Foundation plans to promote non-profit activity and to manage philanthropic resources dedicated to educational change. By sponsoring innovative programs, administering independent entities and awarding grants, the Foundation seeks to bring together diverse individuals seeking to support change in education through creative new approaches. The Langberg Foundation serves donors of all kinds - from individuals and families, to corporations and private foundations. By using the Langberg Foundation these philanthropic resources will be using a simple, flexible way to manage their charitable contributions and to target them for change in education.
